Responsible and sustainable product distribution

Calling all fellow sustainability enthusiasts! On the Simply Brands blog today, let’s delve into the vital realm of responsible product distribution. While our focus often lies on the sustainability of the products we purchase, it is equally crucial to consider the environmental impact of their distribution process. This is where Simply Brands, is at the forefront of the market, revolutionizing the way products are delivered. With our commitment to plastic-free packaging and a range of innovative eco-friendly offerings, we set an impressive standard. Notably, over 80% of our packaging is now completely devoid of plastic. But, let’s explore further how Simply Brands is reshaping the distribution landscape, empowering us to make sustainable choices without compromising on quality.

We’re working towards a sustainable future

We are aiming to make all of our packaging fully recyclable by 2025

At Simply Brands, we believe in the power of collective action and the importance of aligning our efforts with global sustainability initiatives. We have been inspired by the United Nations' Vision 2030 and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).  The goals envisage (amongst many other things) a world in which every country enjoys sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth and decent work for all. A world in which consumption and production patterns and use of all-natural resources from air to land, from rivers, lakes and aquifers to oceans and seas are sustainable. You can read the full manifesto here. It proves a very insightful and empowering read for business owners to act right now for a better future.

So, with this in mind, we have made it our mission to contribute meaningfully to a more sustainable future. We recognize that these goals serve as a roadmap for addressing pressing environmental and social challenges, and we are committed to integrating them into our business practices. By leveraging the framework provided by the SDGs, we strive to make a positive impact in areas such as climate action, responsible consumption, life below water and sustainable production.

Over the years we focused on developing products that not only prevent the worsening of the eco-crisis but more importantly, help in reversing the damage caused by the irresponsible practices of others.

Charging phones and other devices often requires multiple chargers in various locations in the home, car and work. However, these are all too often made of more plastic than necessary. Our Sustainable Leads come with a cable made from plastic bottles, helping to reduce plastic pollution in our oceans and natural landscapes. Even the Kraft box packaging uses zero plastic since it is made from 100% biodegradable paper. Be reassured that this product is also Vegan Friendly with no animal-related elements involved in the Eco braided cable leads’ manufacture.

Did you know that all new cars must be electric by the year 2030 in the UK? That really isn’t too far away, so as more and more consumers switch to electric for their family or business vehicles, the retail industry needs to be ready. Our range of high quality, versatile electric vehicle chargers offer fast charging and they’re lightweight and ultra flexible. They’re perfect for the consumer as they enter the world of EV and need a handy, reliable charger at home or work.

As we delve deeper into our plans for a more sustainable future as a supplier, we know this isn’t just about joining the ‘green industrial revolution’. This is about reversing the damage already done in our industry. Plastic overuse, convenient packaging, speedy production. The list goes on to triggers that have compiled to create a huge problem for the supply chain and its huge part in the global warming crisis. Every single action that we take now, from switching our packaging to expanding our range of green living products will help us to support a more sustainable future and fix long-term institutional ignorance for the good of the planet.
