Simply Brands Wiper Blade Test Success!
Our Simply Auto wiper blade collection, launched earlier this year has seen huge success in the marketplace already. It’s great to see our distributors and stockists supporting this new line of products. We’ve also worked with a number of retailers on introducing the products through their own private label range and it’s great to see them out on the shelves. However, with our research into the market and testing of our products to ensure great quality, we knew this would be a fantastic new addition to our range.
However, this success didn’t happen overnight and we worked on the new Simply Auto wiper blade range for a long time before launching. We also made sure to put our products through rigorous testing before release. We know how important it is to have total peace of mind with any products that are key to driving safety. 90% of driving decisions are based on what you see, so when driving with any type of precipitation, great-quality wipers are absolutely essential.
We enlisted ARDL in the USA to conduct independent testing of our range. They’re a renowned ISO accredited rubber mixing and testing facility, used by many leading brands and OE manufacturers. Testing was done under OE-standard (SAE J 903 C) conditions and, as well as testing initial wipe quality, the wipers were put through a 500,000 wipe cycle durability test to ensure their lifespan. Completing the testing for the flat blades was a wind-lift test, which showed a remarkable result of zero wind lift even at speeds of 100mph.
We were delighted to learn that our range passed all tests with flying colours! It reinforces the commitment we have made to this programme and helps explain why the programme has already been so popular with customers in both the Simply brand and the increasing number of private label programmes that we have been awarded.
Our Simply Auto multi-fit flat blade offering covers 98% of the car parc and consists of 15 SKUs with eight original equipment (OE) fit adaptors that cater the 10 most popular OE arm types. This includes a retro fit hook adaptor to upgrade older vehicles to the latest flat blade technology.
The flat blade technology delivers perfect wiping pressure across the entire blade length thanks to two precision cut steel rails, with a symmetrical spoiler reducing wind lift at high speeds. The rubber wiping element is made of synthetic and natural rubber compound for an optimum blend of performance and durability.
The Simply Auto conventional blade range has 11 SKUs in lengths 280mm – 700mm, and all have a metal vented frame design with a universal pre-attached adaptor to fit all hook wiper arms, as well as legacy side pin and 7mm bayonet wiper arms.
